FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    • $35/members new or used firearms

    All firearm transfers that are not picked up within 31 days of their delivery to RTSP will incur a $50 a month storage fee. A $16 NICS background check fee will be charged in addition to the RTSP transfer fee.

  • Firearms placed on order require 100% deposit all orders. A 15% restocking fee will be charged on all canceled orders. All firearm transfers not invoiced within 30 days will incur a $50.00 per month storage fee to begin in month four and continue to accrue each month thereafter. All orders not invoiced within 180 days of created date will be cancelled and assessed a 15% restocking fee. Firearms on order that have been fired (shot) are deemed used merchandise and will be refunded Blue Book value or fair market value*.

    We understand that there may be exceptions to our return policy and management may use its discretion on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is a satisfied customer; so if you have any questions or concerns regarding our return policy, please ask to speak with a manager.

    NOTE:

    • Orders not picked up within 180 days will be cancelled and incur a 15% restocking fee.

    • A 15% restocking fee will be charged on all cancelled orders.

    • All firearm transfers or Gunsmith firearms that are not picked up within 30 days will incur a $50.00 per month storage fee.

    • Transfers CAN NOT be fired prior to final invoicing.

    • Firearms shot prior to invoicing must be paid in full. Should customer cancel order after the firearm has been shot, the firearm will be returned at current KBB used gun valuations as determined by RTSP.
       

    *Customer assumes risk of failed NICS, failure to obtain permit to purchase, and depreciation of firearm(s) on any and all firearms placed on order.

  • A 15% restocking fee will be charged on all cancelled orders.

  • All sales of ammunition, firearms, clothing and sale items are final and non-refundable. All other unopened and unused items with a receipt may be refunded if returned within 30 days of purchase. Merchandise returned within 30 days, but without a receipt, or after 30 days will be issued a store credit. Merchandise may not be returned after 90 days of purchase. Gift cards are non-refundable.

    New firearms purchased by RTSP are generally covered by the manufacturer warranty. If a firearm is in need of repair, the manufacturer should be contacted directly for instructions on how to return the firearm back to the manufacturer for repair or replacement.

  • You must be 18 years or older in order to rent a rifle or get a port. If under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by an adult who is required to sign a Guardian Release. The minimum age requirement to use the range is 8 years old.

    Customers must be at least 21 years old to rent a handgun – or must be accompanied by someone in their port who is 21. Individuals who are 18 years of age, but under 21, can only rent rifles unless accompanied by someone who is 21.

  • All shooters who are renting must be in groups of 2 or more. No single shooters will be allowed to rent firearms. (Exceptions: Active and Retired LEO and holders of a valid state issued firearms ID card. ID must be present at the time of rental.)

    Any single first time shooters with a valid NJ Permit to Purchase a Handgun with a desire to “Test Drive” a rental can do so, but are permitted only 30 minutes of range time, up to two rentals, and an RSO will be present in the port the entire time. Price is $50 (Cost of ammo and target are not included.)

  • If you are renting a firearm in a group of two or more, a current and valid photo ID issued by the government (Driver’s License or Passport) is all that’s required to use the range. If you would like to shoot by yourself or rent a firearm by yourself, you will need a valid NJ Firearms ID card (Active & Retired LEO exempt).

  • Union:

    • We allow up to .338 Lapua on the range for rifles and have no caliber restrictions on handguns. Slug and Buckshot are permitted.

    • No armor piercing, tracer, or steel core ammunition allowed.

    Randolph:

    • We allow up to .308 on the range for rifles and have no caliber restrictions on handguns. Slug and Buckshot are permitted.

    • No armor piercing, tracer, or steel core ammunition allowed.

  • Union: 25 yard and 50 yard with a total of 40 shooting ports.

    Randolph: 15 yard and 25 yard with a total of 21 shooting ports.

  • Our two convenient locations are easily accessible for both New Jersey and New York shooters!

  • We are walk-in only. Please contact training@rtsponline.com to reserve ports for parties or events.

  • A complete list of banned firearms can be found in N.J.S. 2C:39-1.w as well as N.J.A.C. 13:54-1.2. If a firearm is not specifically listed by name then it may be considered to be substantially identical if it has the following qualities;

    semi-automatic rifle that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two of the following:
    (1) A folding or telescoping stock;
    (2) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
    (3) A bayonet mount;
    (4) A flash suppressor or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash
    suppressor; and
    (5) A grenade launcher;

    semi-automatic pistol that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two of the following:
    (1) An ammunition magazine that attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip;
    (2) A threaded barrel capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer;
    (3) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles the barrel and that permits the shooter to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned;
    (4) Manufactured weight of 50 ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded; and/or
    (5) A semi-automatic version of an automatic firearm; 

    semi-automatic shotgun that has one of the following:
    (1) A folding or telescoping stock;
    (2) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
    (3) A fixed magazine capacity in excess of six rounds;

     

    A semiautomatic rifle with a fixed magazine capacity exceeding 10 rounds.

     

    A firearm that meets the above criteria is considered to be “assault firearm” and may only be possessed by a licensed firearms dealer, active duty law enforcement officers and active duty military personnel.

     

    “Assault firearm” shall not include a semi-automatic rifle which has an attached tubular device and which is capable of operating only with .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.
